Marty Wittstrom is the President of the Canadian Global Energy Forum (CGEF) and Chairman of Oil Group. CGEF is the Canadian networking forum for global energy opportunities, business development and investment. CGEF facilitates internationally focused networking and learning opportunities for Canadian energy companies and service providers. CGEF hosts dynamic events in Canada and attends international conferences to promote the Canadian industry globally.

As Chairman of Oil Group he is active in both upstream and downstream projects in Brazil through offshore data collection, onshore E&P projects, and to develop modular refineries along the Brazilian coastline. Marty has over 40 years of experience in international petroleum exploration and development in both conventional and non-conventional reservoirs and plays. He has held numerous management positions of increasing responsibility in North American and International assignments, including Exploration Manager in several regions, VP International Exploration and Chief Geologist. Prior to founding Oil Group, he worked for Niko Resources, Reliance Industries E&amp, Chevron and Gulf Oil Marty holds a Master's Degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines and certifications in Business Management. He has written extensively on exploration and development plays, reservoir management and asset management. He is a member of AAPG and an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist and Registered Professional Geologist.
