Elena Voloshina, based in Kyiv, leads International Finance Corporation’s (IFC’s) investment and advisory operations in the country effective as of December 1996. She is responsible for managing a significant investment program – over US$3 billion of long-term finance in Ukraine as well as an extensive advisory program focused on improving the business environment, expanding access to finance, promoting a green economy, modernizing supply chains and opening new markets. Prior to joining IFC, Ms. Voloshyna served as a Deputy Project Manager and later as a Project Manager for Small Privatization in Ukraine (1994-1996), managing the work of small privatization consultants in 18 cities across the country and coordinating liaison with the Government of Ukraine at all levels.

Ms. Voloshyna began her career at IFC in 1992 when IFC launched its first operations in Ukraine. During this time, she held various positions, which allowed her to gain extensive advisory experience in privatization and investment. Elena was born in Kyiv. She graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1985.
